Urea Mineral Lick blocks help eliminate some dietary deficiencies and improve rates of growth for dairy cattle & sheep. One of the most critical nutrients is considered to be fermentable N used by the rumen microbes. Urea is probably the most common source of supplementary fermentable N and use of Urea Mineral Blocks is a convenient way of avoiding excessive intake of urea. It is palatable and need regulated intake to avoid excessive consumption. A 2Kg block is sufficient for one head of cattle for 20 days. These blocks can be used to improve the productive performance of animals with access to roughages of low nutritive value. It has been observed that growth rates of cattle and sheep were significantly higher when blocks are made available in the night after daytime grazing.
